Ms. Kim is a registered patent attorney with expertise in rechargeable batteries, fuel cells, hybrid electric vehicles, materials used for liquid crystal display, organic LEDs, LEDs, polymers, and pharmaceutics.
Prior to joining MUHANN, Ms. Kim served as inhouse lawyer for SAMSUNG SDI as a Manager for the IP & Legal department.? Ms. Kim was involved in managing application processes, suggesting patent claim outlines, examining prior art of related technologies, planning application strategies against rival companies for new products, and was also involved in licensing tables.? Ms. Kim has in-depth knowledge and experience of the technologies used in the products of SAMSUNG SDI, including rechargeable batteries, fuel cells, organic LEDs, and PDPs.
Prior to joining SAMSUNG SDI, Ms. Kim worked for HA & HA as the patent attorney responsible for prosecutions on behalf of Showa Denko, Fuji film, Sony, Seiko Epson, Wacoal, etc. She was also involved in patent infringement lawsuits including Toray vs. Toyobo, which pertained to polyester film, and Showa Denko vs. Korean LED manufacturers regarding LED patents.
Prior to transferring to HA & HA, Ms. Kim worked for Myungmoon as a patent attorney on behalf of Kolong, Seoul National University, During that time, she was involved in patent infringement lawsuits including Bristol-Meyers Squibb.co vs. Dong-A pharmaceutical which pertained to contrast media for cardiograms, and DuPont vs Korea Chemical Fiber Association regarding characteristics of fiber. In particular, for the patent infringement lawsuit of Bristol-Meyers Squibb.co vs. Dong-A pharmaceutical, she prepared the explanation of technical contents for the client in the Provisional Disposition of Prohibition of Infringement of Patent held at the Northern District Court.
Ms. Kim received her bachelors and masters in Chemical Engineering from Seoul National University.
