He is a registered patent attorney with expertise in
computer science, internet software, computer architecture
and computer network.
Mr. Lee worked for the Korea
Intellectual Property Office ("KIPO") as a
prosecutor. During that time, he prosecuted a variety
of electrical and computer-related inventions. In particular,
he played a leading role in planning and establishing
KIPOnet, which is the first computerized system in the
world to automate all IPR administration (i.e., filing,
acceptance, examination, registration, and publishing
official gazettes). His activities include being a technical
Member of the UN World Intellectual Property Organization.
Prior to transferring to the KIPO, Mr. Lee served as
a research engineer for Inter-University Semiconductor
Research Center and Research Institute of Advanced Computer
Technology. He also lectured on computer science in
the department of computer science and engineering at
Seoul National University.
Mr. Lee received his bachelors, masters, and Ph. D
of Science Degree in Computer Engineering with Honors
from Seoul National University. He is also the author
of the books entitled "Internet & World Wide
Web" and "Patent War."
