Mr. Chun is a registered patent attorney with expertise
in computer hardware/software, network hardware/software,
internet software, natural language processing, information
retrieval, and wireless communication.
Prior to joining MUHANN, Mr. Chun worked for Kim & Chang as the managing attorney responsible for
prosecutions on behalf of IBM. He was also involved
in a wide variety of patent infringement lawsuits
including Fujitsu vs. Samsung regarding HDD head patents.
Mr. Chun has in depth knowledge and experience of
copyrights for computer programs, UDRP domain infringement,
and trade secrets.
Prior to transferring to Kim & Chang, Mr. Chun
served as a research engineer for Samsung Electronics.
During that time, he developed LAN device drivers
(Fast Ethernet, ATM, Myrinet), network management
programs, and some TCP/IP application programs. He
also participated in developing a mother board for
a PC server. Mr. Chun also handled UnixWare TCP/IP
source code and did a lot of debugging of the source
code. While involved in the development of the I2O-compatible
network management card, he also developed a TCP/IP
module for the card. He also has experience in developing
programs for Internet servers.
Mr. Chun received his bachelors and masters of Science
Degree in Computer Engineering with Honors from Seoul
National University. During graduate school, he participated
in projects for developing natural language processing
systems and speaker recognition systems. In 1994,
Mr. Chun received the highest score on the patent
bar exam.
