Mr.
Lee is a registered patent attorney with expertise in
broadband and wireless communications, microwave and
radar technology, satellite systems, IP networks, software,
and semiconductors.
Prior
to joining MUHANN, Mr. Lee worked for Kim & Chang
as the managing attorney responsible for prosecutions
on behalf of Motorola, Alcatel and Ericsson. He was
also involved in numerous patent infringement lawsuits
including Motorola vs. Qualcomm, which pertained to
CDMA technology, and Philips vs. Korean CD manufacturers
regarding CD patents. In the Qualcomm case, Mr. Lee
invalidated the patent for softhand-off in the CDMA
system.
Prior
to transferring to Kim & Chang, Mr. Lee served as
a research scientist for Korea Telecom. During that
time, he was involved in developing Personal Communication
Systems using CDMA technology and participated in optical-fiber
communications projects. He also took part in the conferences
for IMT-2000 standardization as a representative of
Korea Telecom.
Mr.
Lee received his bachelors and masters of Science Degree
in Electrical Engineering with Honors from Seoul National
University. During graduate school, he participated
in the project for developing MAP. As a result of the
project, he submitted and published an article entitled
"Analysis of User's Response Time for Mini-MAP
System" in the IFAC (International Federation of
Automatic Control). Mr. Lee has also published many
other articles in Korea and abroad.
